What Is CoreLink Administrative Solutions?
I’m Steve Grandfield, President and CEO of CoreLink Administrative Solutions. We’re developing a new way to work with health care benefits technology, all built on the premise of service to our members, customers, clients and brokers. CoreLink is a new concept in health care benefits technology. It’s an exciting venture, built by Blues Plans for Blues Plans. It allows companies to share common core systems and services, resulting in significant cost savings, gains in efficiency and new capabilities to provide enhanced services. With changes in health care, it’s important to focus on those areas where investments can benefit a larger number of companies, rather than having each Plan develop a solution on its own. The strength of CoreLink is in the power of Blue, making Plans even more competitive in the national health care arena. CoreLink is a long-term IT investment, initially funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. Working together, the technology experts of our companies have built an infrastructure capitalizing on the strengths and experience of two highly innovative plans. This investment gives us a way to meet ongoing changes and challenges in regulatory requirements, which can add significant costs to Plan operations. Of course, the key part of any company is the employee. CoreLink employees are arguably the most experienced and creative group of information technology experts available in the Blues system. By building a talented community of people with powerful problem-solving abilities, CoreLink is well-positioned to enhance its services well into the future. CoreLink has a defining set of guiding principles to help set the course of our company’s future. They are: Improving analytics and reporting Enabling best practices in information technology Optimizing business efficiencies Developing shared services models Making it easier for members, prospects and brokers to work with us That last point is key to our success.
