What Is Copytronics Information Systems - A Konica Minolta Company?

In June of 1972, Paul Shields moved to Jacksonville, Florida with his family, $1,500.00 to invest, and a copier dealership contract in his pocket. He set up shop as Copytronics, Inc. with one employee and managed to sell $150,000 during the first year. Those sales numbers doubled each year, then in 1975 broke the million-dollar barrier. Since then, Copytronics sales have grown profitably at an average rate of 15% per year. The seventies and eighties were boom years for copier products, and Copytronics took full advantage by expanding into Orlando, Cocoa/Melbourne and Daytona Beach. In 1999, Copytronics continued its expansion into the Gainesville/Ocala Marketplace. That one-person shop in 1972 now employs over 10 sales, service and administrative staff in 7 locations throughout the state of Florida. Copytronics is a member of “THE FIRST COAST FIFTY”, a list of the top privately held company’s on the first coast of Florida. Copytronics currently serves well over 10,000 customers with a wide range of multifunctional black & white and color office equipment. These products have been, and continue to be, the foundation of the company's success.
