What Is Conejo Recreation and Park District (ConejoRPD)?

The District operates several community parks and centers, neighborhood parks, special facilities, special recreation units, and thousands of acres of open space. Our mission is to enrich the quality of life for our community by preserving and enhancing recreational opportunities, parks, and open space. The Conejo Recreation and Park District is a public service agency created by the people through the use of government structure for the purpose of providing recreational opportunities for all citizens, educating for the proper use of leisure time, and conserving the recreational resources of the area. As an arm of the government, the major responsibility is to serve as a catalyst for community effort by employing the tools and powers of the District, promoting inter-agency cooperation, and constructing and operating facilities which are beyond the reach of individual or private organization effort. The District complements private or commercial recreation efforts and conducts its business in a manner that flows in and around these efforts to provide the community and the individual with a complete set of recreational opportunities.
