What Is Community Living Options?

We provide disability and psychosocial support in accommodation, respite and tenancy settings. In 1982 CLO was established by a group of local parents to provide respite and accommodation for their children in one house in Victor Harbor. These parents were adamant that their children should not have to live outside the area or in an institution. From this innovative beginning CLO has developed a successful and creative history associated with service delivery in the Fleurieu region and has continued that tradition across Adelaide. CLO was founded on the evidence that there was a tremendous amount of underserved and disadvantaged people with disabilities that were in need of support and training to achieve personal growth, independence, empowerment and positive life experiences. This remains the core principal of service delivery today. We currently have no affiliation with the Kalamazoo Michigan USA organisation which bears the same name, although the purpose of our organisations is quite similar.
