What Is Community Development Corporation of Long Island?

CDCLI is a not-for-profit organization that supports Long Islanders pursuing their housing and small business dreams. Our accomplishments are felt throughout the Long Island community and are highlighted below. Homeownership: 200 affordable homes developed to-date with the assistance of CDC of Long Island. Last fiscal year, 292 families established homeownership action plans and 120 of these families purchased their first home. Residential Lending Portfolio: 156 loans have been issued to homeowners by CDC of Long Island, investing over 7 million. Rental Assistance: 1,166 affordable rental units have been developed by CDC of Long Island. Last fiscal year, 3,694 renters secured housing that was affordable, safe and secure. Business Loan Portfolio: 407 small business loans have been issued by CDC of Long Island, amounting to over 11million being invested in community businesses. Small business training has been provided to 965 entrepreneuers and small business owners. Last fiscal year, 65 loans were provided to small businesses investing over 2 million. Energy Efficiency: Annually, more than 1,000 homeowners receive energy efficiency assistance for rehabilitation and energy conservation improvements, which helps homes to remain affordable and reduce energy consumption by 20-35%.
