What Is Colorado Youth for a Change?

Colorado Youth for a Change believes all students can learn, succeed in school, and rise above seemingly insurmountable obstacles to graduate. The organization was established in 2005 in response to more than 18,000 students dropping out of Colorado schools each year. Since then, CYC has significantly contributed to boosting statewide graduation rates. CYC is a recognized leader in prevention and student reengagement programming, providing children and youth with one-on-one tutoring, evidence-based interventions, case management, and wraparound support services. CYC partners with school districts across the state, filling gaps in resources and providing one-on-one student support that schools increasingly struggle to provide. Through these programs, CYC is increasing the state’s graduation rate by addressing risk factors from PreK through high school.
