Through an individualized, holistic, and multi-year commitment, College Bound empowers promising students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve bachelor's degrees and fulfilling careers. WHAT DO WE DO? WE COMMIT TO OUR STUDENTS THAT THEY WILL GET THEIR COLLEGE DEGREE AND, IN DOING SO, DISCOVER THEIR BEST SELVES. If we could tattoo something on our website, it would say: “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship.” This permanently-inked “why” shows up in class and at the office snack cabinet. We’re signed on for the long haul – we’ll check in, nag if needed and believe in our students fiercely, imperfections and all. Get Your Prep On: Get Your Prep On provides 9th graders and their families with early information and resources on how to plan, prepare, pay for & pursue a postsecondary education. It is a full-scale implementation in our three partner schools and in select youth-serving organizations. To & Through To & Through is a four-step system developed by College Bound that prepares the whole child for success in college and life. Throughout the seven to nine years that students are in CB, they gain academic competencies, social and emotional skills, college application abilities and community service habits. This strong and long approach creates learners with a mindset to grow, persist toward goals, contribute to the workforce and give back to the community.
