What Is Classic BMW?

Classic BMW was founded in 1971 in Richardson, Texas. The dealership existed on a plot of land that was just over one acre. It had a one car showroom, one service bay, a parts department the size of a closet and a total staff of less than 10 employees. BMW was a very little German auto and motorcycle manufacturer that most Texans believed was British. During the mid-1970's the BMW 2002 became a cult success, pairing together a sports car's performance and handling with a sedan's functionality. The 2002 put BMW on the automotive map and is credited with being the original performance sedan. With this interesting combination BMW was able to grow the model line up to feature sports sedans and has grown to be one of the most highly recognizable auto companies in the world. Classic BMW grew physically with each successful year, building service centers that added to our space for technicians. During the time period from 1971 to 2006 Classic BMW grew to more than 60 service bays and showrooms that featured 36 new and or pre-owned BMW's. The corporation grew to more than 240 employees during this time period. In 2007 Classic BMW opened the world's most advanced BMW dealership in Plano, Texas. It is housed in a 160,000 square foot building and sits on more than 20 acres of land. The service facility contains more than 90 service bays. The parts department is located in an area that is more than 22,000 square feet. Classic BMW is now home to one of America's largest BMW inventories with projected sales of more than 4,000 BMW's annually. Throughout the years Classic BMW has continued to grow but has never become a huge corporation. It is a family owned and operated dealership with customers and their love for our product being our main focus. We firmly believe that it is up to us to take BMW to the next level. We race in order to demonstrate to our customers the quality and performance of our cars. And we feel like we should always look toward what we can do next to make our customers more confident in Classic and more pleased with their BMW.
