Citywide Banks' success, progress and growth are a result of the relationships we continue to build and nurture... relationships with our customers, our employees, our community. Family-Owned, Locally and Independently Operated Citywide Banks is family-owned and locally and independently operated. Vince Schmitz is one of the original founders of Citywide Banks and currently oversees the day-to-day operations of Citywide Banks with his son, Marty. In 1999, Marty took over as President of the Citywide Banks of Colorado, Inc. Holding Company while Vince remains CEO and Chairman of the holding company's board and Chairman of Citywide Banks. Another family member, Jeff, is Vice President of the holding company and manages the bank's business development. Citywide Banks began in a remodeled tire shop at Colfax and Ironton in Aurora, Colorado on July 22, 1963 under the name of Aurora National Bank. Today, Citywide Banks is made up of ten locations with the latest branch opening at the Lowry Town Center in 2002. There are two Citywide Banks locations in Aurora, four locations in Denver, one in Lakewood, one in Wheatridge, one at the Denver Tech Center and one at Arapahoe Corners in Centennial. Citywide Banks is divided into three regions. Each region has a president who oversees the day-to-day operations of the banks within his region.
