Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a Christian charity tackling poverty in communities across the UK through free debt help and local community groups. We exist to equip churches in serving the community and showing God’s love to others.\n\nCAP provides award-winning free debt help through local churches. Each church’s CAP Debt Centre offers emotional and practical support, while our head office team in Bradford provides bespoke debt advice and a plan to help you get out of debt.\n\nCAP also offers community groups dedicated to tackling poverty at the root. These are run through local churches, and cover topics such as:\n\n\nInterview skills, applying for a job and writing a CV\nBreaking free from dependency or overcoming a habit\nHow to budget and making your money go further\nKey life skills\n \nAlways through the Church. Always hope.\n\n\nThrough a network of almost 300 CAP Debt Centres, CAP offers a free face-to-face debt management service, with advice and ongoing support provided from head office. In addition to this, CAP provides face-to-face adult financial education across the UK in partnership with 760 churches who run the CAP Money Course. This is a three-week money management course, which equips over 7,500 people each year to budget, save and spend wisely. \n\nCAP has also recently expanded to tackle more causes of poverty.
