What Is Chobani Australia?

Chobani was founded on the belief that people have great taste; they just need great options. It is this belief that brought Chobani to Australia – home to a nation of people passionate about food and some of the best milk in the world. In 2011 Chobani Founder Hamdi Ulukaya brought his dream down under and in November of the same year, the first pot of Chobani yogurt, which was flown in from the US, was sold in Australia. Fast forward ten years and Chobani Australia boasts one manufacturing facility, two warehouses, two office sites, a 24/7 production schedule 360 days of the year and more than 250 dedicated employees. Since our national launch in Australia in 2012, Chobani has reshaped the Australian yogurt category with a yogurt uniquely crafted using an authentic straining process. Chobani Australia also produces the category-leading Gippsland Dairy brand under the Gippsland Dairy label. We have continued to push the boundaries of innovation to inject some excitement into the yogurt category beyond expected flavours and experiences, with key product launches including Pouches (2013), Flip (2017), FiT (2018) and FiT X (2019). Our mission has always been to bring better food to all people, and we do this by not only making delicious, nutritious products, but also by making them available to everyone – different consumers, in different markets, through different channels. At Chobani, we know that the most important thing we make is a difference. We are a values-led business that is committed to supporting our employees and the communities in which we operate and our culture of giving back, innovation and food made good enables us to achieve this. With the products we create and actions we take, we aim to bring out the good in food and people.
