What Is Cauldwell Wingate Company?

Cauldwell Wingate provides construction management services for this brand new, 180,000 square foot, 11-story building in Long Island City, Queens, which includes 130 residential units in addition to a neighboring 45-space parking garage. Prior to the building's groundbreaking in Spring 2006, Cauldwell Wingate was responsible for coordinating the design team and assisted with full pre-construction services including budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, value engineering and document coordination reviews. Cauldwell Wingate serves as construction manager of this landmark commercial building as it was converted to condominium residences. The project included converting seven floors of commercial space into high-end condominiums with major infrastructure upgrades. New chillers, a cooling tower, MEP risers, domestic water system and fire pumps were installed in addition to the removal of two elevators. Cauldwell Wingate's team facilitated a smooth construction flow and uninterrupted services for existing tenants. With increased demand for residential housing in prime areas of New York City, the project is on a tight schedule so that leasing agents can turn over spaces to new tenants. The building will increase its occupancy and is investing in the compete gut and rehabilitation of each individual unit. Cauldwell Wingate provides general contracting and renovation work for this historic landmark hotel prior to its turnover to new residential tenants. Built in 1904, the Ansonia Hotel and Condominiums is 17 stories tall with 450 private units. Great care will be taken to renovate individual units to maintain the landmark building's magnificent facade and architectural details. Wood floors have either been replaced or re-finished and original wood framed windows have been refurbished. Typically, two adjacent apartment units were combined into one larger residence with decorative moldings and state-of-the-art finishings fit for grand urban living.
