Cassowary Coast Regional Council is the official Local Government organisation for the Cassowary Coast Region in Far North Queensland, Australia. The Council was formed on 15 March 2008 with the amalgamation of the former Cardwell and Johnstone Shires. The Council has 6 elected divisional councillors and a popularly elected mayor. Council meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.
