LOCKBOX-Plus, released in the early 1990s, was one of the first commercially available, image-based, wholesale lockbox systems and proved to be revolutionary to the remittance processing industry. LOCKBOX-Plus made quantum leaps in the efficiency, accuracy, and usability of automated wholesale lockbox systems, and the market responded. Accordingly, the subsequent years saw a surge in innovative thinking and engineering at CMS. In 1995, CMS released a highly successful retail product, and recent years have seen breakthroughs in more than just payment processing. CMS has released products for delivery of information and images via automated fax solutions, CD-ROM, intranet and the internet. CMS software is now installed in many pre-eminent financial institutions throughout North America. 1999 saw the creation of our outsourcing subsidiary, Image Remit. The company was chartered to provide financial institutions with high quality, image-based, private label lockbox services, without the large capital expenditures, staffing issues and facilities management typically required to do so.
