Cascade Technologies' mission is to provide high-fidelity models and simulations to dramatically accelerate and enhance product development cycles for our customers. Through these “first-principles” simulations, customers can gain new insights into their system's performance before prototype testing. Founded in 1997, the company grew out of a need to bridge between fundamental research in turbulence simulation and its application in industries. The engineering team houses leading experts in fluid and thermal sciences, physical modeling, numerical analysis, high-performance computing and computer science. Many are alumni of Stanford University's Center for Turbulence Research, and the DOE's Advanced Simulation and Computing programs at Stanford. Our flagship product, CharLES is a massively-parallel multi-physics Large Eddy Simulation package geared towards accurate prediction of thermal, species, and flow in extremely complex geometries. CharLES has been used in the automotive, biomedical, power generation, and aviation industries by companies that include GE, Bosch, Honda, and Boeing, among others.
