What Is Carers Queensland?

Carers Queensland represents the diverse needs and interests of carers in Queensland. We empower carers by providing carers with information, education, advocacy, counselling and other support services that may assist them in their caring role. We also aim to raise awareness about the valuable role that carers play. From humble beginnings, we have grown to become an organisation employing over 100 staff across 13 offices in Queensland. We have more than 30,000 contacts with carers each year. On average, we receive 100 calls a week from carers requesting program information and other support services. We work with over 1000 support services and organise more than 1300 events and support groups each year.
