What Is Cardinal Senior Management?

Cardinal was founded by Chuck Gray and Joe Pohlen in 2015 to address the growing need in the senior housing industry. Cardinal currently operates five buildings in Pennsylvania in the towns of York, Lancaster and Kulpmont. A lot of good things have happened since 2015, and really all of it only because a lot of smart, hard-working people have given Cardinal a chance. The staff in our buildings are kind, caring, and intrigued enough to entrust their futures to us, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Our community, our families and our residents believe in our vocation of care, compassion and dignity. We have been given an incredible honor to comfort and care for those who are writing the final chapters of their own amazing book. We are a part of their book and an important part of our community. It is true that the world is filled with ‘jobs’ that are meaningless, demeaning and boring- as well as inherently destructive. I don’t think there is an argument for the existence of such work, and we wish for its elimination. At Cardinal, we believe in the old and honorable idea of ‘vocation’ is simply that we are called, by God, or by our gifts, or by our preference, to a kind of work for which we are particularly fitted. If you are able to believe in your vocation, as we do, then there is the startling possibility that we might work willingly, and then there is no necessary contradiction between work and happiness or satisfaction. Cardinal is activly looking to attract top talent to our buildings and feel that with great people we can continue to be a leader in offering care, compassion and dignity to the seniors in our area.
