Canada North Environmental Services (CanNorth) provides a full range of environmental services and is 100% First Nations owned by the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Saskatchewan’s largest band. They provide high-quality, cost-effective environmental services and have offices in both Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Head Office) and Markham, Ontario. Their clients include the world’s largest mining companies, crown corporations, government, and well established oil and gas companies.\n\nCanNorth offers the technical skills and knowledge to deliver solutions for managing environmental risk in ways that benefit their clients, protects the environment, satisfy regulatory requirements, as well as supporting local communities through employment, training, and economic benefits. \n\nThey provide a full range of environmental services through their aquatic, terrestrial, heritage/archaeology, hydrology, geomatics, and human health and ecological risk assessment divisions. In addition, CanNorth is well known for its liaison roles with community engagement and relationship building between Indigenous groups/ local communities and proponents. Projects are undertaken using defensible environmental study design, state-of-the-art technology for analyses, evaluation, and problem-solving, and emphasize local Aboriginal (indigenous) participation. Given their unique structure and expertise, CanNorth also assists a number of consulting companies with their diverse capacity. \n\nCanNorth has developed and implemented strong quality, environment, and safety management systems that meet or exceed international standards as demonstrated by their following certifications: ISO 9001 (international standard for quality management), ISO 14001 (international standard for environmental stewardship and management), OHSAS 18001 (international standard for occupational health and safety), and COR Energy Safety Canada. CanNorth is also an ISNetworld Registered company.
