On April 27, 1973, Lane Grigsby incorporated Cajun Contractors and Engineers, Inc. (CC&E) to capitalize on his extensive experience in the heavy civil/industrial phases of the construction industry. CC&E began operations as an open shop firm and focused on the industrial and municipal markets. Over the next fifteen years the company experienced tremendous growth in reaching $35,000,000 in contract revenues. In 1988, Cajun Contractors and Engineers, Inc. changed its name to Cajun Contractors, Inc. to more properly reflect the true nature of its business. In 1998, celebrating our twenty-fifth anniversary and reaching $139,000,000 in revenues, Cajun Contractors, Inc. further defined its core competencies in changing its name to Cajun Constructors, Inc. Today, in our 30th year, Cajun Constructors, Inc. is a nationally respected general contractor with contract revenues approaching $150,000,000, offering a wide range of services including: construction management, planning/scheduling, deep foundations, sitework, concrete foundations, structural steel, mechanical equipment and piping, design-build, maintenance, and turnarounds.
