Virtual Reactor™ software is able to handle both the scale and complexity of the internal operation of FBRs due its proprietary Barracuda®️ modeling technology that, unlike other CFD methods, can effectively simulate gas-solid systems containing any number of particles with any particle size distribution. Barracuda Virtual Reactor is computationally efficient and exploits low-cost parallel computing hardware enabling customers to deploy the software without requiring investment in expensive high-performance computing resources. CPFD works as a technical support partner with engineers tasked with designing, upgrading and operating FBRs in: • Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units • Polyolefin and Acrylonitrile manufacturing • Circulating fluidized boilers • Gasification and more Leveraging CPFD’s simulation software and dedicated support empowers those designing and manufacturing FBRs to complete projects more quickly and with greater confidence that performance requirements will be met when commissioned.
