Welcome to AIMD Sigonella Italy, the intermediate maintenance activity for the NAVEU-NAVAF theater! Our team excels in its task of providing maintenance and repair services of aeronautical components and support equipment to naval forces throughout the African, European, and southwest Asian regions. If you have orders to this NATO base in the province of Catania, Sicily, we will be happy to assist you in every possible way to become familiar with your new residence and workplace. For starters, you will be assigned a sponsor and you will be encouraged to dialogue with him or her regarding any plans and questions you may have concerning your transfer or your integration into the Sigonella community. AIMD Sigonella is a wonderful place to work situated on the NAS 2 where the airfield is located. NAS 1 is located a short distance away and is where most of the social and shopping facilities are located. The Italian people are very warm and welcoming of American military.
