Bridger Logistics, LLC was an integrated midstream company that owned, leased and managed more than 1,400 crude-by-rail assets, 27 crude oil terminals and truck stations, two crude oil pipelines, more than 600 truck transportation assets, a dozen saltwater disposal facilities, and several crude maritime assets. In 2014, the company was among the largest marketers of crude oil in the continental United States. Founded by James Ballengee, the company was initially backed by a $300 million capital commitment from private equity firm Riverstone Holdings. In 2015, Ferrellgas Partners, LP (NYSE: FGP) purchased the business and established it as its midstream division. In 2018, Ferrellgas Partners sold Bridger's assets and business segments to a variety of purchasers, including Pilot Flying J and the Granite Peak Group, and formally wound-down the company. Bridger Logistics was headquartered in the Dallas, Texas area.
