What Is Bowling Green State University Graduate College?

The approximately 2,600 students are enrolled in 17 doctorate and 51 masters’ degrees, together with one specialist and 18 certificate programs across six academic colleges. Within these programs, our graduate students are engaged in professionally oriented degrees that prepare them immediately for successful careers or highly academic programs preparing them for a life of research, scholarship, and creative endeavors in and outside higher education. \r\n\r\nTo enrich this experience, more than half of the graduate students are funded through graduate assistantships that provide applied academic experience while working full-time on their degree. In addition to full-time education, the Graduate College is dedicated to creating flexible and varied learning experiences that fit into students’ current professional life-styles through part-time, week-end/evening, or on-line/blended programs. \r\n\r\nSince 2000, several of the University’s graduate programs have received national ranking, including our master’s of business administration program, and the doctoral programs in industrial/organizational psychology, applied philosophy and higher education administration. Additionally, the photochemical sciences department’s doctoral program is unique in the country, and BGSU was the first to offer a master’s degree in popular culture.
