What Is Boortmalt?

BOORTMALT is an International Malting Company created in 1927 in Belgium. It produces and globally markets barley malts to brewing & distilling companies and craft brewers and distillers. BOORTMALT has 10 malting plants in Europe (Belgium, England, France, Scotland, Ireland, Hungary and Croatia) and enjoys a well-recognized expertise in the production of quality malts. Since the parent company of BOORTMALT is the French leading cereals cooperative named AXEREAL (www.axereal.com), this expertise goes well beyond the production of malt and includes as well the production of malting barley, our raw material. Our malting plant situated in the port of Antwerp is the largest malting plant in Europe. Its scale and ideal location demonstrates our capability to competitively deliver malt to our customers in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Efficient hinterland and export logistics are key to ensuring we achieve this. Ultimately, we want to become the best maltster in the world. To accomplish this we are driven by our 5 strategic pillars rolled out throughout our organisation. Growing the size of the business, developing impactful commercial propositions for our customers, driving business operational excellence in a sustainable way, and enabling alignment through our BOORTMALT culture are all initiatives we embrace and believe in. To support this, BOORTMALT offers a wide variety of jobs. Some have an international focus whilst others have a group-wide focus or single-location focus. Various competencies are required including for example engineering, research, quality, commercial acumen, trading know-how, production, management, finance, human resources, legal, raw material sourcing, logistics, silos operations, development, sustainability, safety, administration? I hope that you will find this Linked In page useful and we all hope to welcome you soon as a member of our team. Yvan Schaepman Group CEO
