Bob Clapper joined the dealership as the Used Car Manager of Fagan Chevrolet Cadillac in 1985. The Fagan Automotive heritage began in 1945 when Jack Fagan opened a Ford dealership in Bloomington, WI. He then moved the dealership to Delavan and finally settled in Janesville. The current location which resides at the corner of E Milwaukee St and Wright Rd has been here since 1983! Jack worked there along with sons, Pat, Mike and Jim. As they slowly retired, Bob Clapper purchased more interest in the business. He purchased the remaining interest when Jim retired in 2016. Bob has been a “car guy” all of his life. Bob Clapper Automotive is very active in the community. We support many types of youth and sports activities, United Way, Janesville Service Clubs such as Rotary, Kiwanis and Golden K, Vets Roll, Agrace Hospice and many more! Bob personally is an active member of the Janesville Noon Lions Club, Vintage Chevrolet Club, Janesville Snow Chiefs Snowmobile Club and former President of the Wisconsin Auto and Truck Dealers Association.
