What Is Blue Point Capital Partners?
From 1990 to 2000, the Blue Point professionals conducted private equity buyout activities on behalf of KeyCorp, as Key Equity Capital. Established in 1990 with a single office in Cleveland, we grew to be the prominent private equity firm in the Midwest region of the United States. Our strategy of becoming the dominant private equity group within a region has enhanced the quantity of investment opportunities reviewed and the quality of the investment opportunities that we have realized over the last decade. This strategy has been successfully replicated in the Pacific Northwest (1996) and Southeast (1998), where Blue Point has become one of the largest sources of resident private equity capital in each of these regions. Our approach has been validated through experience, since many regional middle market companies are often overlooked by money center-based investment firms.
