What Is Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation?

Founded in October 1985, the Black Professionals Association Charitable Foundation (BPACF) was formed to support and advance educational and charitable activities as well as to oversee the distribution of scholarship funds. The mission of the BPACF is “To create opportunities for African Americans through scholarship, education and leadership development.” Since its inception the BPACF has strived to bring scholarship and educational opportunities to deserving students within Greater Cleveland. The Foundation achieves its mission through charitable fundraising activities and distribution of financial resources to educational and cultural institutions and programs. LEGACY ACCOMPLISHMENTS - $3 million dollars raised and distributed for Higher Education scholarships and nonprofir organization grants - 30+ years of supporting/advancing educational and charitable activities - 30+ years of Grants and Community Support Projects - 30+ years of hosting the Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala - 30+ years of honoring The Black Professional of the Year Award - Provided scholarships to over 500 deserving students in Greater Cleveland - Dozens of local and out of state College/University partnerships BPACF ENDOWMENT FUND The BPACF Endowment Fund provides financial support for the establishment of activities and programs to promote and develop educational scholarship funds for the African American Community and other charitable activities. The Cleveland Foundation, the model for community foundations around the world, invests endowment funds for both longer-term growth and income.
