Established in 1877, Berry Street is the largest independent child and family services organisation in Victoria. Today Berry Street's greatest challenge is to help children and young people recover from the devastating impact of family violence, abuse and neglect that has occurred growing up in families where violence, chronic neglect, substance abuse, mental illness and poverty have prevented them from having a good childhood. Berry Street never gives up doing whatever it takes for these kids because we believe that all children should have a good childhood - growing up in families and communities where they feel safe, nurtured and have hope for the future.
