What Is Bar Pop?

Bar Pop burst onto the Perth events scene six years ago... And have since cemented themselves as Perth's leading space activation specialists. Their flagship public offering, Bar Pop Urban Orchard, was one of Perth's first large-scale pop-up bars. Set in the heart of the Perth Cultural Centre under a stunning dome structure, the Bar Pop Urban Orchard quickly put the group on show and drew big crowds for Friday night dinner and drinks. The team later grew this offering into Live at The Orchard, a multi-year event series that saw the likes of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Boulevards (USA), Regurgitator, Pond, White Fence (USA) and Josh Pyke play to growing crowds. Along with Live at The Orchard, Bar Pop developed boutique events including Feral Fest, Bar Pop NYE, the Perth Craft Beer Festival – and most recently – the Ice Cream Factory Microfestival, a multi-level activation project that housed a three-lane bowling alley, art installations from Perth-based sculptors and painters, and a mind-boggling eight bars and eleven dance floors. As part of an ongoing collaboration between Bar Pop and Fringe/Artrage, Ice Cream Factory has gone on to became an exciting new Fringe Festival hub. As well as concept design and delivery, Bar Pop has contributed to several of Western Australia's major events including Perth Festival (formerly PIAF), Fringe Festival, State of the Art Festival, Gourmet Escape, Perth Winter Ball, Wave Rock Weekender, Disconnect Festival, Falls Festival and Laneway Festival. Bar Pop also provide ongoing consulting and support services to Splendour in the Grass Byron Bay. With a growing team that includes a full-service creative agency alongside a highly skilled operations and management team, Bar Pop has made organic progression from putting together intimate gatherings to producing branded experiential marketing campaigns and programming large-scale music and arts events.
