Founded in 1986, Australian Home Care Services is a not-for-profit organisation that is now one of the largest personal care and home help services in Australia. AHC proudly provides services to more than 4,000 care recipients every year, working with more than 150 funding bodies nationally, including federal and State governments, insurance companies, non-government and charitable organisations. AHC provides a diverse range of services including: * assistance with daily activities and housekeeping; * independent living skills and community access programs; * respite and companion care; * home and garden maintenance; and * shared supported accommodation services for people with a disability. AHC diversified with the acquisition in 2010 of Nationwide Health & Aged Care Services, a niche provider to the aged care sector supplying cleaning and laundry services. In 2011, in partnership with Healthcare at Home, the UK's largest provider of high-tech homecare services, AHC established Healthcare at Home Australia to provide an outstanding, patient-focused home care service to patients who require injections or infusions and other high-tech or complex therapies in their home, school or workplace, replacing therapies that have traditionally been administered in hospitals or clinics. In total, AHC generates $100M turnover, employs over 3,500 people nationally and provides an annual dividend to its parent company, MSL to support ongoing research into Multiple Sclerosis.
