Originally registered in October 1968 as Armstrong-Nylex, this joint venture between Australian industrial giant Nylex Corporation and Lancaster Pennsylvania USA based Armstrong Cork Co, saw Armstrong-Nylex construct a vinyl flooring manufacturing facility at Braeside Victoria. In August 2022 and with over 50 years of continuous manufacturing at Braeside, Armstrong Flooring became Australian owned, and now with new focus and investment employ over 120 people and remain as Australia’s only manufacturer of commercial vinyl flooring.\n\nProducing and sourcing durable high-performance products for domestic and export markets, Armstrong Flooring Australia leads through exceptional customer service, innovative design, technical support and responsible environmental practices, our business focuses on developing long-term mutually beneficial partnerships based on the provision of floor and wall solutions across a broad range of applications – from retail and education to health care, contract housing, commercial interiors and public spaces.\n\nFor decades Armstrong Flooring has been a key supplier of vinyl flooring options for major projects like Melbourne’s Royal Children’s, Perth Children’s and The Gold Coast University Hospitals and to corporate retailer clients such as Big W, Coles, Kmart, and Woolworths.
