What Is Almost Home?

Almost Home in St. Louis is a comprehensive living and learning facility, providing up to two years of transitional housing, plus educational & employment supports, therapeutic counseling, case management, life skills education and parenting instruction to homeless teenage moms. Nearly 100% of the young women we help have been victims of some form of abuse or neglect. Almost Home gives these young women the skills and support to break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their children. Few shelters and transitional housing programs in St. Louis accept young mothers younger than 18 years old; approximately half of the young moms at Almost Home are under that age.
