What Is Alberta Urban Municipalities Association?

Founded in 1905, the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association represents all of Alberta’s urban municipalities including cities, towns, villages, summer villages and specialized municipalities, representing over 85% of Albertans. A dynamic and evolving association, AUMA advocates on behalf of members to provincial and federal government, as well as other stakeholder organizations. The Alberta Municipal Services Corporation (AMSC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the AUMA and has been successfully delivering innovative aggregated solutions to municipalities, municipally related not-for-profit organizations and their employees for more than 40 years. We provide substantial value to members through economies of scale, outstanding service and support, expertise that comes from working with municipalities, and contribute to the advocacy efforts of the organization. AMSC offers human resources services including Employee Benefits and Retirement, Insurance and Risk Services, Investment Services, and Energy Services.
