What Is Akal Security?
Akal Security was founded in 1980 in Espanola, New Mexico by two entrepreneurs looking to create a security company that would bring professional security services to local markets in New Mexico. During the company's formative years, it made a commitment to work with clients, employees, and communities through Akal's Exceptional Service PartnershipÔ. This commitment quickly helped them earn a strong reputation for quality and value. By 1985, the firm was serving clients in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Clients ranged from remote gold mines to modern office complexes. As the firm grew, it also started gaining national recognition, including being named on Inc. Magazine's list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States for two consecutive years. By 1987, the company set up two divisions to service its federal and national accounts: the Federal Government Division and the National Division. In 2005, the company expanded its services into the international arena and the International Division was created. The Federal Government Division provides contract security services to the U.S. government. Akal provides security services for critical national facilities, including U.S. military installations, courthouses, federal government buildings and Department of Homeland Security facilities.
