(ALI) continues to distinguish itself as a major player in the field of pressure sensitive label manufacturing with the recent announcement of a World-Class Supplier award from bioMérieux, a leading international medical instrument manufacturer. "Advanced Labelworx, Inc. has achieved this World-Class Supplier Partner status through its accomplishments in four areas: outstanding quality, on-time delivery, continual cost improvements, and progressive technological advances for the industry," said Richard Brunel, purchasing manager for bioMérieux. Headquartered in Marcy l'Etoile, France, bioMérieux has its U.S. base of operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. The award presentation banquet was held November 13, 2003, in Raleigh at the Museum of Art. "bioMérieux is a long-term customer of Advanced Labelworx, Inc. They hold us to very high standards and have made us a better company through their continual improvement processes," commented Lana Sellers, president of ALI. "The medical industry is a growth market for us." ALI was founded in 1971 and has its headquarters in Oak Ridge, TN, with a second facility in Anderson, SC. In addition to the manufacture of pressure sensitive labels for the automotive, electrical, chemical, medical and pharmaceutical industries, ALI operates a medical device division within a class 100,000 clean room, at its Oak Ridge facility. From this "clean room", the company produces wound care dressings and adhesive backed medical products. Both locations are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
