ADS was founded in 2000 as a regional solid waste company providing integrated, non-hazardous solid waste collection, transfer and disposal services in the Southeastern U.S. The Company currently owns and operates six waste collection operations, one transfer station, two municipal solid waste landfills and is developing three additional transfer stations. The Company continues to pursue strategic acquisitions to execute on its vertical integration strategy and expand into growing markets that present favorable operating conditions. The Company’s strategy is to control hauling and disposal in the markets in which it operates, and therefore achieve the efficiencies and margin enhancements associated with internalizing the waste stream. ADS will further create efficiencies by opening transfer stations located strategically between its hauling operations and landfills to direct additional waste to its own disposal assets.
