What Is Ace Ethanol?

Ace Ethanol LLC is a Limited Liability Company formed by Norman Spooner of Gilman, WI and Alexander Samardzich of Bruce, WI. The goal of Ace Ethanol LLC is to be the first plant to produce ethanol in the state of Wisconsin. Production started the last week of June, 2002 and Ace was indeed the first large scale ethanol plant in Wisconsin. Ace Ethanol partnered with Delta-T Corportation of Williamsburg, Virginia for process engineering and plant design. The business plan was developed by Byrne and Company Limited of Preston, Minnesota. Construction management was handled by Ace Ethanol. Ace Ethanol is a dry mill facility. Since 2004 the plant went from milling 8 million bushels to milling 15 million bushels of corn and produce 120 thousand gallons of ethanol per day. Distiller's grain, which is a by-product of ethanol production, is a high protein low cost feed that can be used in the diets of many animals. Ace Ethanol offers both wet distillers grain with solubles and dry distillers grain with solubles. Ace Ethanol captures and compress carbon dioxide gas to a liquid form. The majority of the CO2 will be sold as a liquid and the balance as a solid (dry ice). Ace Ethanol has invested over $50 million in the development of the ethanol and carbon dioxide facility. Creating over 30 full time employee positions.
