What Is Academic Success Program?

The Academic Success Program (ASP Dallas) is a Texas non-profit college access program that aims to build a college-going culture in DFW high schools. We work with all key players -- including students, parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and college admissions officers to gain higher education access for our students, with a focus on those who are first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented minorities. We work individually with students to identify the best fit as they continue on their path to higher education -- be that an Ivy League school, a public state university, or a local community college. This holistic approach delivers results. ASP Dallas is an open-enrollment program currently available at several DallasISD high schools including: Bryan Adams High School, Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, Hillcrest High School, Irma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School, Moises E. Molina High School, Science and Engineering Magnet at Townview, Education and Social Sciences Magnet at Townview, School of Health Professions at Townview, School of Business and Management at Townview, Seagoville High School, Thomas Jefferson High School, Woodrow Wilson High School, and W.T. White High School. ASP Dallas also provides comprehensive college counseling services to the International Leadership of Texas schools. ASP Dallas Scholars have been accepted to schools including: Harvard, UPenn, Dartmouth, Columbia, Bates, Babson, Bowdoin, Wellesley, Tulane, SMU, and all of the Texas colleges and universities. Students in the Academic Success Program have also been awarded the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship and Dell Scholarship. The Academic Success Program is a member of TACAC, NACAC, and NCAN and is proud to be a partner with Commit! in improving educational outcomes for students throughout the Dallas area.
