What Is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane?

We are committed to providing holistic health care to raise the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the wider Brisbane community. We are more than just a general practice providing dental, mental health, child, family & maternal health, diabetes, ophthalmology, optometry, podiatry and dietary services. We formally commenced operations in 1973 at a converted shop front in Red Hill. It was an initiative of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to participate more directly in their own health outcomes. Today, we have grown to be one of Queensland's largest Indigenous community organisations and proudly remain community-controlled and managed.
