AU Engineering at Aarhus University: Engineering at Aarhus University is anchored in two organisational units: the Department of Engineering (www.eng.au.dk) and the Aarhus University School of Engineering (www.ase.au.dk). AU Engineering develops innovative and sustainable solutions to some of the major challenges facing humanity through the classical engineering disciplines: Architectural Engineering, Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Most of the research activities are conducted in close cooperation with industry and applied within four interdisciplinary technology themes: Sustainable Energy, Healthcare, Agriculture and Manufacturing Furthermore, AU Engineering has a strong focus on technology domains such as Computing and Machine Intelligence, Advanced Materials and Industrial Biotechnology - all of which have a dramatically increasing economical and societal impact on Denmark. Department of Engineering at Aarhus University: The department was established in 2011 and is responsible for research and development activities in the technical science field, and for the MSc. in Engineering programmes. Aarhus University School of Engineering: On 1 January 2012, Aarhus School of Engineering merged with Aarhus University and now brings together nine B.Eng. programmes. The programmes are practically oriented, and include collaboration with the industry. The interplay between the education and industry ensures that our engineering graduates are well equipped to transform scientific knowledge and engineering know-how into valuable solutions for society.
