Alternative Service Concepts (ASC) a full-service, workers' compensation and property/casualty third party claims administrator, has entered into a strategic partnership with Merit Insurance and the City of Plano, Texas in the development of the City's Occupational Wellness Center. The objective of the Center is to provide on-site care, thereby increasing employee productivity through a healthy workforce and lowering overall occupational medical costs. The Center will offer complete, professional medical care, including an Occupational Nurse, a Wellness Coordinator, and a Claim Consultant, providing the City's employees with total personalized care. ASC will place one claims adjuster and one claims assistant on site at the Center, fostering open communication and an integrated team. Joey Page, Risk Manager for the City of Plano stated, "ASC is the most professional full-service TPA I have ever worked with. ASC's extreme flexibility and expertise in developing an on-site dedicated unit for the Center has made this transition seamless. They understood our needs and matched their program with ours." Under this partnership Merit Insurance will provide program administration for the City's Occupational Wellness Center.
