AE2S is a specialized civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that provides professional services and our unique brand of extreme client service to municipal, rural, and industrial clients in the states of North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and South Dakota. Our corporate office, located in Grand Forks, ND, was established in 1991 by President Charles S. Vein, PE and CEO Steve L. Burian, PE. Besides the Grand Forks corporate office, AE2S has expanded to five other sites. During the mid-90\'s, the company opened branch offices in Moorhead, MN and Bismarck, ND. In 2002, a satellite office was opened in Williston, ND, in 2003, another office was opened in Brainerd, MN, and in 2005, AE2S opened a Minneapolis, MN office. Among all six offices, AE2S has a staff of approximately 60 engineers, technicians, surveyors, financial analysts, computer programmers, and administrative personnel. Our primary service is water - meaning water, wastewater, and storm water system consulting, which represents approximately 90 percent of our annual revenues. Within these primary services, we offer a total solution by providing master planning, capital improvement planning, study and report, design, bidding administration, and construction administration/observation. Surveying, mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), general civil engineering, and site development are also provided as stand-alone services or in support of our primary services. In addition to the more traditional consulting services listed above, we also provide value-added services such as financial analysis and utility rate planning, funding development, vulnerability assessments, modeling, instrumentation and controls, and information technology.
