ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. (formerly Baldor Electric Company) is the US motors and generators business of ABB's Motion division. We are the leading marketer, designer, manufacturer, and service provider of industrial electric motors, generators, and mechanical power transmission products. Our industrial motors are sold under the brand names ABB and Baldor-Reliance®. They range from sub-fractional to 100,000 horsepower and include NEMA, IEC, AC, DC, variable speed, synchronous reluctance, gear, and servo motors. Our line of Dodge® mechanical power transmission products include mounted bearings, enclosed gearing, couplings, bushings, sheaves, and pulleys. Preventive and predictive services are available for both motors and mechanical products. With the global support of ABB Ability, we can keep you connected to your systems more effectively and efficiently. The business sells most of its products through distribution and direct to original equipment manufacturers. These customers operate in a variety of process industries including chemical, oil and gas, food and beverage, pulp and paper, aggregate and cement, mining, paper and packaging, agriculture and water/wastewater. Baldor Electric Company was acquired by ABB in 2011, and we became ABB on March 1, 2018.
