What Is Bialek Environments?

After having built a successful chain of professional pharmacies, Bialek developed in the 1970's what would become the largest independent medical supply company for physicians in the Washington metropolitan area. In 1991, Bialek further diversified its interests, while remaining committed to the healthcare market, by launching its healthcare furniture business, Bialek Healthcare Environments. In 1995, Bialek was given the opportunity to sell its medical supply division to a large regional distributor. And in 1997, after selling its last retail pharmacy, Bialek fulfilled its goal of devoting all of its time and resources to becoming one of the area's largest and most highly specialized healthcare furniture sales and design companies. Several years ago, Bialek expanded its market to include furniture for research laboratories, as well as commercial office environments. Bialek represents Herman Miller for Healthcare as well as over 175 additional healthcare, research and office furniture manufacturers. Since 2004, Bialek has been the largest dealer in the country for Herman Miller for Healthcare. Bialek's staff consists of account managers, designers, client services representatives, project managers, administrative, information technology and financial personnel. All staff have extensive industry knowledge. The designers are proficient in AutoCAD and are NCIDQ certified or eligible. Bialek works closely with the architectural and design community, as well as with its clients directly. Bialek is 100 percent owned and managed by its president, Joan Bialek.
