What Is Maritime Energy?

Maritime Energy is a full service, locally owned company. It was founded in 1939 by Roland G. Ware, father of the present owner, John Ware. The original office of MARITIME OIL, as it was then called, was opened in what is now the Unicel building on Main Street, located across from the ferry terminal. In 1948 the company moved to its present location at 234 Park Street. In 1999, Maritime Energy moved into its new building at that location.
