What Is Lezzer Lumber Company?

Lezzer Lumber has been a leading retailer of name brand building materials serving Pennsylvania since1927. Lezzer Lumber was founded in 1927 as the Sandri-Lezzer Lumber and Farm Machinery Company in Curwensville. In 1949 Michael H. Lezzer and his sons, Maurice and Kenneth, bought the lumber portion of the business and called it Lezzer Lumber Company. The office and warehouse were originally located on State Street in Curwensville, Pennsylvania. The company remained at that site until a devastating fire in 1971 forced Lezzers to move to their present site on Schofield Street. It was then that Lezzer began to evolve from a traditional lumber yard to a home center. The manufacturing division of Lezzer evolved with Lezzer Commercial Doorsopening in 1996 and Lezzer Truss Systems in 1999. In 2000, Lezzer started an installation service, Lezzer Pro-Installationsand most recently, May 2002, acquiredDynamic Energy Services which installs cellulose insulation.
