In 1926, G.E. Evans founded a private practice engineering and surveying firm. In 1949, W.H. Mechwart joined Mr. Evans and they continued successful operation under the name Evans and Mechwart. With the addition of two new partners in 1954, the firm became Evans, Mechwart, Hambleton & Tilton, which remains our name to this day. The tradition for quality work that began in 1926 continues today. Our firm carries a timeless attitude for excellence utilizing 300 professional and technical personnel including 20 survey crews. We offer an extensive array of services including civil engineering, surveying, environmental management, and land planning. Our firm has engineers registered to practice in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, Michigan, Illinois and Virginia. In 1996, EMH&T opened a branch office in Cincinnati, Ohio and in 2001 expanded to Indianapolis, Indiana with an additional location.
