Branch & Associates, Inc. was founded by Billy H. Branch in 1963. Headquartered in Roanoke, VA, Branch & Associates has grown from a modest company performing local grading and construction services to a regional building construction firm. Branch provides general contracting, design-build, and construction management services to a multi-state region from our offices in Roanoke, VA and Winston-Salem, NC. In 1985, the Branch organization was reorganized into The Branch Group, Inc. with Branch & Associates operating as a wholly-owned subsidiary. Today The Branch Group, Inc. provides corprorate services to four wholly-owned subsidiary operating companies providing construction services. Branch & Associates, Inc. provides Performance Builder construction services for public and private building owners, utilizing general contractor, design- build, and construction management delivery. Branch Highways, Inc., based in Roanoke, VA, performs Heavy/Highway/Infrastructure construction. E.V. Williams, Inc., based in Virginia Beach, VA, performs Heavy/Highway/Infrastructure construction and concrete paving. GJ Hopkins, Inc., based in Roanoke, VA, provides mechanical and electrical contracting, along with its specialized Service. Branch & Associates, Inc. has operated under an Employee Stock Ownership Plan since 1982, and is a 100% employee-owned company. The resulting ownership culture where each employee has a vested interest in the successful completion of every project, has been a major contributor to our steady growth and progress.
