Tahirih Justice Center is a national, non-profit organization that protects courageous immigrant women and girls who refuse to be victims of violence. We elevate their voices in communities, courts, and Congress to create a world where women and girls enjoy equality and live in safety and with dignity. Tahirih has developed an innovative and comprehensive approach to addressing the acute and growing needs of immigrant women and girls fleeing violence. Our model combines direct legal services, survivor-led public policy advocacy, and training and education. To maximize the number of women and girls we serve and to develop powerful public policy campaigns, Tahirih leverages the donated services of a network of more than 1,800 attorneys, medical professionals, and other experts to help survivors of violence free of charge.
