Southeast Kansas Education Service Center Revenue and Competitors

We offer a consortium of school districts access to informal, hands-on science activities, science resources, and facilities that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable. The Science Center opened in September 1996, constructed with a charitable donation from William L. Abernathy Trust. Programming and operations are supported by competitive grant funding, membership fees, and fees assessed to participating non-members. Each year we serve about 10,000 students, teachers, and community groups with a variety of special events, field trips, outreach, and tours.
